Yesterday noon, the tragic news of Sushant Singh Rajput's demise brewed a storm across the country. It was being reported by the police officials that he died due to suicide by hanging himself to death in his Mumbai residence. The reason behind Sushant taking such a drastic step is allegedly his battle with depression. Soon after the news broke, Sushant's mortal remains were taken to Mumbai's Cooper Hospital in the ambulance for a postmortem. Now, reports of the same are out and as per India TV, Sushant indeed hanged himself to death.

The portal states that preliminary postmortem report of Sushant Singh Rajput revealed that the reason behind his death was hanging. It added how the late actor was undergoing stress and depression from the past six months and the police officials, while investigating, had also found a couple of medical reports hinting at his depression. Reportedly, some samples of Sushant have also been sent to Kalina Forensic lab for further testing. Along with a postmortem, Sushant's COVID-19 test, too, was held and it came out negative. The late actor's mortal remains have been kept in Cooper and funeral is slated to take place today.
